Clean energy, energy in the broad sense, energy that pollutes ... a group of artists selected by art critic Simon Bartolena, reflect on the concept of energy, with works ranging from traditional to conceptual, from abstract to symbolic.
Franco Boaretto approached art from young, self-taught, first creating works in pencil, charcoal and blood, then, about twenty-five, venturing into oil painting , with a palette of vibrant and full of character and a stroke that is more and more material and spirited, as the years pass and the artist acquires security technique. In the late eighties he has largely found the key to the problem, working on stick figures, from the metaphysical hint, suspended and at times disturbing, carved in the color that, shortly thereafter, it will be in the field. From Palette to the ground, in fact, the pace is quick. In the early nineties
Boaretto discovered clay and immediately moves with passion and determination. But the decisive turning point occurs in 1995, when he discovered thanks to Enzo Sacheli (but then experimented with full autonomy and freedom) the raku technique. The beautiful colors of previous sculptures in terracotta replacing the color effects of raku, perfect for the artist's figurative language, including symbolism, experimental and classical. And here come a fascinating gallery of figures that seem to belong to any time, attendance in the balance between vision and reality: the metaphysics Savinio, even more than the De Chirico, close to Surrealism. They are elegant works in the field, the texture, attractive and satisfying to the eye but never granted, and the treatment sought, studied in detail, who knows how to govern without raku harness the essential randomness that is proper.
Everyone is looking for something: a goal, of themselves, peace or even a white whale to kill. For those like me, the search itself is the goal. 
The six artists involved in this collective work with different languages, mostly different materials and different intentions. But they are all sculptors, and the profound difference between their stylistic figures, it captures an important aspect of plastic art: the infinite variety of possibilities it offers. In the past, moreover, the sculpture was primarily to accommodate the most obvious and reckless experimentation techniques: think of the first works in plastic material (polymer still unstable and destined for this deterioration) by Naum Gabo, sculpture materials recovery assembled by Picasso, to the sculptures of Michelangelo Pistoletto polystyrene.
There is no boundary to the idea of \u200b\u200bsculpture: every material can transformed into a work of art, thanks to the creative genius of those who worked. The six artists in the show are classics in their choices. Classics in the themes and philosophy of their research, although the choice of experimental materials, or classical technique, although innovative in design solutions.
And this classical background, this can be a unifying element between distant research per se, is not clear, a negative element. Indeed, the works of these artists, enhanced by the deeply evocative spaces of the Monastery of the sink, have a solemn breath, a hint archaic, that suspends in space and time without astrarle era of which are daughters.
from marble to wood, from raku pottery to iron, but also from figuration to abstraction: the sculpture is presented in its many forms, revealing the personalities of artists and telling their paths, their personalities, their thinking.

Yesterday afternoon I was able to go to Genoa Hobby & Fantasy, the fair is not very big but for me that I can hardly find any type of material in the area and are forced to buy everything online was a real breath of creativity, I got some inspiration today and I made the greeting card for the birthday of a friend of mine, I hope it is to his liking.
